Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami secara mendalam peran akademisi dalam meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat berkelanjutan melalui praktik pengabdian berbasis refleksi sosial dan nilai-nilai lokal. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologis, yang memusatkan perhatian pada makna pengalaman subjektif para akademisi dan masyarakat yang terlibat. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi kegiatan pengabdian di beberapa komunitas di Sulawesi Selatan selama periode enam bulan. Hasil analisis tematik menunjukkan tiga tema utama, yaitu transformasi peran akademisi dari instruktur menjadi mitra sosial, integrasi kearifan lokal sebagai basis keberlanjutan, serta refleksi kritis terhadap dampak dan nilai pengabdian. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan pengabdian masyarakat tidak hanya ditentukan oleh keberadaan program, tetapi oleh kualitas hubungan sosial dan proses co-learning antara akademisi dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam pengembangan konsep academic citizenship serta kontribusi praktis bagi penguatan kebijakan universitas dalam mendorong pengabdian masyarakat yang partisipatif, reflektif, dan berkelanjutan.
